Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
What is Paint Pros for Rent?
Paint Pros for Rent gives you access to experienced professional painters by the hour. It’s a convenient option for smaller painting, prep, repair, and touch-up projects that may not require a full painting crew.
Do you handle small jobs?
Absolutely! Small jobs are what we’re here for. Instead of putting off a project because it isn’t large enough for a traditional painting estimate, you can hire one of our Paint Pros by the hour.
How does hourly painting work?
You provide us with your project or to-do list, and our Paint Pro works through it during your scheduled time. This allows you to prioritize the areas that matter most to you.
Can I make a list of several different jobs?
Yes! That’s one of the biggest advantages of Paint Pros for Rent. You might have a door that needs painting, nail holes that need filling, a stress crack to repair, trim that needs caulking, and a wall that needs touching up. Make your list and let our Paint Pro get to work.
Do I have to hire a painter for a full day?
No. Paint Pros for Rent is designed to give you flexibility. You can schedule a professional painter for smaller projects without committing to a traditional full-house painting project.
Can you match my existing paint color?
If you have the original paint information, that’s ideal. If not, we can work with you to get as close a match as possible. Existing paint can fade or change over time, so an exact invisible match cannot always be guaranteed.
Can you paint after another contractor makes a repair?
Absolutely. If you’ve had electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other work completed that left patched drywall or unfinished areas, our Paint Pros can help get those areas repaired, prepared, and painted.
Can you help after I move into a new home?
Yes. Before you unpack—or after you’ve settled in—we can work through your painting and repair list, including changing wall colors, repairing nail holes, painting closets, refreshing trim, and handling touch-ups.
What if my project is going to take longer than expected?
Some projects uncover additional preparation or repairs once work begins. Your Paint Pro can explain what was found so you can determine how you’d like to proceed.
Why use Paint Pros for Rent instead of a handyman?
Our service is centered around professional painting and paint-related preparation and repairs. If your to-do list involves painting, drywall patches, caulking, stress cracks, trim, or getting surfaces paint-ready, you’re hiring someone whose work is focused on producing a professional painted finish.
Why hire a painter by the hour?
Not every project needs a full painting estimate or an entire crew. Hiring by the hour gives homeowners a practical way to get professional workmanship for smaller projects while paying for the time they actually need.
Can you complete everything on my list in one visit?
That depends on the amount of work, preparation required, drying times, and any unexpected conditions we discover. We’ll work through your priorities efficiently, but we don’t want to sacrifice quality just to rush through a list.
What should I do before my Paint Pro arrives?
Having your project list ready and clearing personal belongings away from the work areas can help us spend more of your scheduled time working on your projects.
Can I Supply My Own Paint?
Yes! You can supply the paint required for your project. We also offer the option to have us pick up the materials for your convenience.
Can you take care of caulking?
Yes. We can caulk around interior trim, baseboards, doors, windows, crown molding, and other paint-related areas where appropriate. We can also remove deteriorated caulk when necessary before applying new caulk.
Can you touch up walls without painting the entire wall?
In many cases, yes. However, touch-up paint can sometimes appear different because of the age, sheen, fading, or original application method. If a touch-up is noticeable, painting the entire wall may provide a more uniform result.
Can you help get my home ready to sell?
Yes. Paint Pros for Rent is ideal for pre-sale punch lists. We can touch up walls and trim, fill nail holes, repair minor drywall damage, caulk gaps, refresh doors, and address other cosmetic painting items before your home goes on the market.
Can you paint rental properties between tenants?
Yes. Our hourly service can be especially useful for landlords and property managers who need walls, doors, trim, or damaged areas touched up between tenants without necessarily repainting the entire property.
Can I prioritize my project list?
Definitely—and we recommend it. Put the most important items at the top of your list so your Paint Pro knows exactly where you would like the scheduled time spent first.
